Laws of Thermodynamics (Made Easy)

1st

– Energy can neither be created or destroyed; it is constant.

2nd

– All interaction creates entropy. Usability of energy is lost by rate of use.

3rd

– When an object reaches absolute zero, its entropy reaches zero.

0th

– Any system connected to 2 systems, which are at thermodynamic equilibrium, will also be at equilibrium.

 
Note: The 2nd Law is the reason we can never have a perpetual energy source (at the atomic level at least).
